Im so happy to finally be sharing McKenzie & James' Friday wedding from a couple weeks ago! It was such a lovely day with lots of wonderful people and beautiful, classic details.
We started our morning at the Hotel Saskatchewan, getting ready for the day in joining suites. I spent my time with the ladies and photographing all the gorgeous and sentimental details that McKenzie had chosen for her day. Included in that were a couple personal items involving her late father, who was certainly there in spirit. Sherry spent some time with the gentleman in their room - capturing all the fun they were having pre-partying for the day
The ceremony was held at the Local Market under the twinkly lights - such a romantic vibe! There was a minor delay involving some forgotten rings, but, I heard that may have a been a bit of cosmic intervention at play.
Photographs with everyone post ceremony came with its challenges, but, ended up absolutely amazing! It was quite windy, bright and sunny, and McKenzie's maid of honour had only recently broken her leg - leaving her less mobile in a heavy cast and crutches. Luckily, the entire wedding party was patient and trusted our instructions - we definitely had fun and made magic happen! Speaking of magic, McKenzie's dress and veil... absolutely stunning! Blowing in the breeze with the sun peaking through the trees behind SO pretty!
Reception was also held at The Local Market. Guests enjoyed delicious food, tasty cocktails and the music stylings of .. well, anyone who wanted to sing the bride and groom a little song! It was their way of having people "clink their glasses" for a kiss. So original and cute!
Thank you to these two for choosing Sherry and I to capture such a beautiful wedding! McKenzie & James, you are the sweetest and Im so looking forward to watching your love story continue to grow from here!
