Some love stories begin with grand gestures. Olivia and Jon's started with a shared appreciation for Miatas.

Introduced by a mutual friend as teenagers, their connection grew from a common interest into something much deeper. Through years of friendship, growing up together, and navigating the challenges of a long-distance relationship while both attended university, they built a relationship rooted in trust, commitment, and faith. The distance only strengthened the bond they shared, proving that some relationships are worth every mile.

Their wedding day was a beautiful reflection of everything that matters most to them. Surrounded by their closest family and friends, some of whom travelled great distances to celebrate alongside them, Olivia and Jon exchanged vows in their family church. Their faith has always been at the base of their relationship, making the church where they said "I do" the perfect place to begin this next chapter together as husband and wife.

The day began at the iconic Hotel Saskatchewan, where anticipation and excitement filled the rooms as everyone prepared for the celebration ahead. After the ceremony, we made our way to Wascana Park for portraits. Of course, no wedding gallery would have been complete without including the Miata that helped tell the story of how it all began. Against the backdrop of Regina's beautiful green spaces, Olivia and Jon looked completely at ease together, sharing quiet moments and plenty of laughter.

Their reception at Estelle Events was warm, elegant, and beautiful reflection of who they are. The space was beautifully decorated by Erin from A1 Rentals, a longtime friend of mine and an even longer friend of Olivia's family. Every detail felt thoughtful and intentional, creating the perfect atmosphere for an evening spent celebrating with loved ones.

One of the highlights of the evening was the heartfelt speeches. Family and friends shared stories that brought both laughter and tears, painting a picture of a couple whose love has been witnessed and supported by so many over the years. Guests were also invited to participate in lively hula dances, which quickly became a crowd favourite. Rather than the traditional clinking of glasses, the performances earned kisses from the newlyweds and created some unforgettable moments that had everyone smiling.

Olivia and Jon's wedding was a reminder that the strongest marriages are often built on the simplest foundations: friendship, faith, perseverance, and the unwavering support of family and community. It was an honour to document a day filled with so much love, joy, and meaning.

Olivia and Jon, thank you for trusting me to capture this incredible chapter of your story. Your journey together is a beautiful testament to what can happen when friendship grows into a love that stands the test of time and distance. Wishing you both a lifetime of adventures, laughter, and many more miles together.
