Julia & Eric - A Joyful, Summer Wedding

A couple weekends ago, I had the absolute pleasure of capturing Julia and Eric’s wedding day in Regina—and what a day it was! From heartfelt private moments to spontaneous champagne pops and everything in between, their celebration was full of laughter, love, and that beautiful summer glow.

The day kicked off in cozy family homes, where both Julia and Eric got ready with their bridal parties. Julia shared an emotional first look with her bridesmaids, followed by a sweet moment with her parents—an intimate and joyous start to the day that set the tone for everything to come.

Before the ceremony, Julia and Eric chose to have a private first look and exchange personal vows. It was such a touching moment—just the two of them, soaking it all in before the whirlwind of the day began.

Their ceremony took place at the RCMP Heritage Centre, a stunning venue with soaring windows and wide open space. The ceremony was short and heartfelt, with a lovely tribute to their parents’ long-standing marriages—a quiet reminder of the deep roots of love that surrounded them.

Afterward, we escaped the city’s Pride weekend buzz and headed to a peaceful off-grid park for portraits. It was just us, the couple, and a little quiet magic. We even squeezed in a fun stop at Leopold’s for a celebratory shot before heading back to the reception.

One of my favorite parts of the evening? Julia and Eric made their grand entrance straight into their first dance—ensuring every eye in the room was on them for that unforgettable moment. The night flowed into speeches, more dancing, and cake cutting, all surrounded by an atmosphere of genuine joy.

Before Sherry and I wrapped up for the evening, we snuck the couple out for a few extra portraits under the pillars in front of the venue—a perfect, peaceful end to an incredible day.
