There are some weddings that just stick with you — the kind where everything feels a little extra special, a little more full of heart. Katherine and Aaron’s day was exactly that.

These two are high school sweethearts who’ve been together for eight incredible years, and from the moment I met them, it was so clear how deeply they adore one another. Even though they now live in Saskatoon, they chose to celebrate their wedding in Moose Jaw so they could be closer to family — and honestly, the day couldn’t have been more perfect.

The morning started at the sweetest little AirBnB. Katherine got ready in this dreamy, light-filled boho bedroom that looked like it came straight off of a Pintrest board. There was such a calm happiness in the air — her bridesmaids and moms were getting ready in the next rooms, and every time someone peeked in, there were smiles, laughter, and the occasional happy tear.

Meanwhile, Aaron and his crew were across town at another BnB — hanging out, getting those final touches done, and being joined by the coolest little dude who kept everyone smiling.

Before the ceremony, we met up with their immediate families and bridal party for photos, capturing all those genuine moments of excitement before heading to Cross Iron Acres, just north of Moose Jaw. The venue was so perfectly them — a vintage, elegant–inspired setup that was unique yet timeless.

The ceremony itself… oh my heart. Their vows had everyone tearing up, and their first kiss turned into a joyful jump that perfectly summed up their energy as a couple and how i know they felt to finally be married!

Afterward, we hopped on the party bus and made our way to Buffalo Pound, a location Katherine had her heart set on. We had a few little hiccups trying to get into the park (because what’s a wedding day without at least one adventure?), but their parents swooped in like heroes and saved the day. Once we made it in — wow. The light, the landscape, and the connection between Katherine and Aaron made for the most breathtaking photos.

Back at the reception, the newlyweds made a fun and lively entrance, and the evening flowed with so much joy. Dinner, games outside, laughter everywhere — even when a speech went missing and a bridesmaid’s dress decided it was done for the night, no one let it dampen the mood. The whole day was such a reflection of who these two are: kind, easygoing, and so deeply in love.

One of my favorite details? Katherine made her own cake and cupcakes — and they were amazing. Both beautiful and delicious, just like everything else she touched that day.

The night ended with heartfelt speeches, a sweet and emotional first dance, and the debut of a new portrait booth (which I was so excited to be part of!).

Katherine and Aaron — you two are pure sunshine. Your love story is one of those rare, steady, beautiful ones that’s just meant to be. I feel so lucky to have been a part of your day, and even luckier to now call you friends. ❤️
