Kadie & John - Heartfelt I Do's In The Park

Kadie and John’s wedding day was nothing short of magical, and it all unfolded just steps from their front door. They chose to say “I do” in the park right in front of their home, a place already filled with love and memories. The morning started inside their cozy home, where Kadie and her bridesmaids got ready under the watchful eyes of not only the couple’s two cats, but also a few curious neighborhood cats who decided they didn’t want to miss the celebration either.

Before guests began to gather, Kadie and John shared a private first look just feet away from where their ceremony would later take place. It was such a tender, quiet moment before the excitement of the day picked up. We took some photos in the park before the wedding crew slipped back into the house to hide away as guests arrived.

The ceremony itself was heartfelt and unique, complete with a tree-planting ritual—a beautiful symbol of the life they’re growing together. As they walked back up the aisle, friends and family showered them in bubbles, making for the happiest, most joyful exit.

Afterward, we headed to the Saskatchewan Legislative Building for some portraits (and of course, a champagne pop!) before the evening celebrations began at the Italian Club. Kadie and John set the tone for their reception by skipping a traditional entrance and instead flowing right into a choreographed first dance—so much fun and such a reflection of their personalities!

Dinner, heartfelt speeches, cake cutting, the always-fun shoe game, and an anniversary dance all kept the evening lively and full of laughter. We slipped away for a few quiet sunset photos before heading back just in time for the bouquet toss—where grandma proved she’s still got the best reflexes in the family by catching it herself!

It was an incredible day filled with love, laughter, and the perfect mix of sweet and silly moments. A huge thank-you to RC for second shooting with me—I couldn’t have asked for a better partner to help capture such a fun celebration.
